Make Music Day UK - NNUH - 21st June 2018

Make Music Day UK returns for a second year at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on Thursday 21st June 2018 following the success of last year's event.  Make Music Day will take place across the UK and the rest of the world all on the same day, celebrating music, musicians and performance in a free day of music for everyone to enjoy.

This is the UK’s contribution to the international summer solstice music celebration which first started in France in 1982 as Fête de la Musique and which now takes place in over 120 countries and 750 cities across the world.

Make Music Day UK aims to turn the country into a stage and offer a full spectrum of performers the opportunity to display their musical skills. All events are free to attend.

The events of the day will take place here in the hospital's West Atrium from 10.30am until 5.30pm.  The whole list of acts has yet to be announced, but the music will feature performances from the traditions of classical, world and folk music.  The artist Eloise O'Hare will be present, creating a record through her 'graphic reporting' - drawing the artists and audience, rather than photographing them - this is still something very creative, but much less invasive and a good way to create a record of the day's events.

Eloise's website can be found using this link: http://eloiseohare.co.uk/

More information will be announced very soon!  Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the day.
