Make Music Day UK - Thursday 21st June 2018

Make Music Day is an annual event of free music taking place all over the world, and in many different locations.  Venues can range from town squares, libraries, and bandstands to school halls and art centres.  Last year, the NNUH participated in this great event for the first time and celebrated a full day of interesting and enjoyable music at the hospital.  The feedback from everyone involved was welcoming and encouraging.

The day itself is open and inviting and seeks to involve all kinds of music, from different genres, styles and traditions, and in many different settings - it is also free to attend!  The aim is to celebrate and encourage music as art form whilst at the same time bringing it to as many people as possible, young and old, from any walk of life all over the world, in the course of a day.  Music lives upon its vibrancy and community, and this is something we aim to encapsulate and bring together on Make Music Day 2018.

Make Music Day always occurs on the 21st of June – the longest day of the year – and this year the NNUH is taking part once again thanks to the success enjoyed last year.  Individual artists and schedules for the day have not yet been confirmed, but will be made available as soon as possible both on the website and in flyers around the hospital in a traditional format.

Join thousands of other music lovers from around the world – a total of 120 countries –  by attending some of our Make Music Day events here at the NNUH.  If you want any more information about the organisation, the day itself, or about organising your own events and taking part - information can be found here on the website link below:
