Since 1927, The National Garden Scheme has been inviting owners to open up their private gardens to the public for a modest donation that is then given to charitable causes. Over the last 90 years the National Garden Scheme has donated £50 million to charities across the UK thanks to the generosity of garden-owners, volunteers and visitors.
Now at the NNUH, thanks to Environmental Arts and the National Garden Scheme, you will be able to see their creatively designed posters on display listing the various places around Norfolk that you will be able to visit.
The amazing and positive effect that gardens can have on health is an important part of current research – and the National Garden Scheme is keen to be a part of this promotion and research. There was even a report on this very subject commissioned by the National Garden Scheme carried out by the Kings Fund.
